A Vision in Motion

PS91 is still in its early stages - a vision we’re prayerfully shaping to create a new way to walk alongside survivors and equip our community to respond with compassion, care, and faith.

Grounded in a Christ-centered mission, this initiative will be trauma-informed, helping churches, small businesses, and volunteers understand how to support survivors with wisdom, safety, and grace.

While PS91 has not officially launched yet, we anticipate doing so in the first quarter of 2026. We’re looking for ideas, guidance, advisors, and volunteers who want to walk with us as we build this next step of The Ahava Project and bring this vision to life.

Three Pillars of PS91

Pillar 1: Equipping Churches to Respond Wisely

• Purpose: Many pastors and ministry leaders care deeply about those in crisis but may simply be unsure where to begin when domestic violence surfaces within their congregation.

• Our Approach: We offer trauma-informed guidance, resources, and optional on-site workshops to help church staff and volunteers:

  • Recognize the signs of abuse.

  • Respond with biblical compassion and practical safety steps.

  • At the church’s discretion, connect that person with a trusted bridge to The Ahava Project or one of our partner organizations for additional support.

• Suggested Donation: A $100 donation helps provide this trauma-informed training for your church and supports our outreach to other faith communities. Additional donations are always appreciated to help extend this resource to churches unable to give. 

Pillar 2: Empowering Small Businesses to Care

• Purpose: Many workplaces are where survivors are first noticed - often through changes in attendance, performance, or emotional distress. Employees experiencing abuse may begin missing work, arriving unprepared, or showing signs of fear or exhaustion. Over time, this can lead to job loss, which deepens their hardship and can make escaping abuse even harder.

• Our Approach: We partner with businesses (ideally 5+ employees) to build awareness and develop safe, discreet response plans for staff members in crisis:

  • One-hour informational session or lunch-and-learn.

  • Printed or digital resources for employee reference.

  • Confidential referral line to The Ahava Project or trusted partners.

• Suggested Donation: A $100 partnership donation supports employee training and awareness resources, helping us equip local businesses to respond with compassion and care. Additional donations are always appreciated. 

Pillar 3: Restoring Mobility - Transportation Support

• Purpose: Lack of reliable transportation is often a major barrier to successfully leaving an abusive relationship and breaking the cycle of abuse. Without safe transportation, survivors struggle to reach appointments, job interviews, or court dates.

• Our Approach:

  • Provide rides to critical appointments through screened volunteer drivers (Ahava Agents).

  • Partner with local repair shops to assist with car repairs or donated vehicles.

  • Create a “Transportation Fund” to cover gas cards and emergency rides.

• Goal: Launch this service within the first year of PS-91, with volunteer drivers and vehicle partners in place.

• Support Level: There is no cost to the survivor for this service. It is fully funded through the generosity of donors and community partners. If you’d like to help sustain this program, you can make a donation to our Transportation Fund - every gift helps provide safe rides, gas cards, or vehicle repairs for survivors rebuilding their independence.
