PS91 was inspired by Psalm 91, a reminder that God is both our refuge and our fortress. A refuge offers immediate shelter and protection during life's storms. A fortress provides lasting strength and security long after the storm has passed.

That vision guides everything we do.

PS91 is a community-focused initiative of The Ahava Project that equips churches, businesses, volunteers, and community partners to respond wisely, compassionately, and safely to individuals and families impacted by domestic abuse.

While The Ahava Project provides direct support and resources, PS91 focuses on building a network of informed, trauma-aware people who are prepared to walk alongside survivors as they pursue safety, healing, and restoration.

What We've Been Doing

Over the past several months, we've had the privilege of walking alongside multiple individuals and families impacted by domestic abuse. Every situation is different, but our goal remains the same: to listen, encourage, connect, and help identify practical next steps.

Through partnerships with local churches, shelters, businesses, and volunteers, support has included:

Equipping Churches

Many pastors and ministry leaders care deeply about people in crisis but may feel uncertain about how to respond when domestic abuse is disclosed.

PS91 helps churches better understand abuse dynamics, trauma-informed care, safety considerations, and appropriate referral options so they can respond with both compassion and wisdom.

Equipping Businesses

Workplaces are often among the first places where signs of abuse become visible.

PS91 partners with businesses to provide practical awareness training and resources that help employers and coworkers recognize warning signs, respond appropriately, and connect employees with support when needed.

Supporting Community Partners

We believe no single organization can meet every need.

That's why we work closely with shelters, churches, service providers, volunteers, and community organizations to strengthen existing support systems and identify opportunities to serve together.

Whether through volunteer projects, resource drives, training opportunities, or collaborative partnerships, we are committed to helping build a stronger network of care throughout our community.

PS91 continues to evolve as we learn from survivors, community partners, and professionals working in this field every day.

Our vision is to expand training opportunities, strengthen community partnerships, develop volunteer response teams, and create additional pathways for practical support and restoration.
